1) UPDATES & PRAYER REQUESTS
Greetings from stormy Schooley's Mountain, New Jersey, where I (Brad) am sitting in on the orientation for the Liebenzell missionaries who are preparing for ministry at Pacific Islands Bible College in Guam. Liebenzell is one of our mission partners in this project. An independent mission, they are the founders of PIBC, and most of the German, Dutch, and American missionaries working there are sent out by Liebenzell. We're excited that they are open to having Evangelical Covenant Church missionaries working alongside them.

Cheryl and I were featured in last Saturday's edition of the Turlock Journal (front page!)

• On faith we have purchased our tickets for Guam. I leave on August 12th and Cheryl on August 22nd. We are not yet at a support level to go -- but we are trusting that enough commitments and gifts will come in that we will be able to move forward. We still need $26,000 (which is the equivalent of about $1,050/month) to meet our starting budget. This means that we are at over 76% of the goal of having the $105,000 first-two-years budget in place.

If God is calling you to be involved in this project of equipping leaders for the churches in the Western Pacific -- now would be a good time to act. :-)

If you would like to support the ministry you can send a check or commitment response to:

PM Support for Boydstons
Department of World Mission
Evangelical Covenant Church
5101 N Francisco Ave
Chicago IL 60625-3676 USA

Checks should be made out to the "Evangelical Covenant Church" with the clear designation "for the support of Brad & Cheryl Boydston." If possible print and include this .pdf form.

Many of you have already started making contributions to our support account (this is good!) and we appreciate it greatly. You all are a great source of encouragement to us!

• Please PRAY that the finances will come together and that we would be free from anxiety as we near the deadline.

• Nothing has happened with the house. No lookers in the past month. Please join us in praying for the sale of our house.

• However, Kirk (our 22-year-old son who just graduated from university) has a job! He started yesterday as a discourse analyst with H5 Technologies in San Francisco. This is a linguistics related job. Sounds perfect for him. And it is an answer to prayer.

• Our dog, Rusty, and our cat, Tex, both need places to live.
