Three prayer requests

1. HOUSE -- Our house in California is still sitting on the market with little interest at this point. Pray for a buyer. We need to divest of that house in order to move forward with getting a place on Guam.

2. STAFF -- PIBC has two important staff needs. We need an onsite librarian (MILS, MLS). We have a wonderful librarian who lives in Michigan and supervises from afar -- spending six weeks a year here. But the accreditors are thinking that we need someone onsite in Guam all the time.

Also, we need an IT person who can come keep our computers and networks up and running. The systems have all been piecemealed together so far and it is by the grace of God that they function as well as they do. However, with the growth of the student body and staff there is more demand on the system. And the few of us who have any kind of technical expertise are often called upon to do things which are way beyond our knowledge and experience.

Pray that the Lord would send more staff in these mission critical areas.

3. GRANT -- PIBC has a US government grant that will enable us to strengthen our teaching options at our remote sites (Chuuk, Palau, Yap...) using some distance education technology. However, they are not willing to fund the infrastructure necessary for the Internet connections (small cost compared to everything else in the grant). Within the last couple of days a few other possibilities have surfaced and the creative juices are flowing. Pray for some clear direction as some very creative techies around the world are noodling on this.

Thank you for praying.
