Life on Guam

~ The September issue of Christianity Today arrived in today's mail -- along with some fall advertising fliers. I wonder where in the Post Office that bag of mail sat for nearly 3 months.

~ Some guy tried to kill himself by passing us on the Backroad to Andersen this morning. He survived because I hit the brakes so he could squeeze in front of me.

Last week I was driving 70 on the California freeways surrounded by cars going equally fast. But that's relaxing compared to going 35 along the Backroad -- which is not only poorly designed (two narrow lanes, with the water running toward the center of the road when it rains -- which is a lot of the time) but which seems to attract Guam's most insane drivers. Unfortunately, PIBC sits along the Backroad so we have to travel it a lot.
