Quick update

~ It looks like February will be a busy month. I have two trips scheduled -- one to Chuuk (1½ hour flight) to meet with our faculty down there and one to Honolulu (7 hour flight). There will be three or four of us from PIBC on the Honolulu excursion. It's a part of our discussion with Hawaii Theological Seminary (Covenant pastor Randy Furushima is the president of HTS) -- a move that could bring them into the PIBC organization. We are also looking at adding a Hawaiian teaching facility for our undergrad program and establishing a PIBC site in Tonga. I do enjoy the travel but it's a good thing that we have a 29th day this February -- every extra day helps! Keep all of this in your prayers, please.

~ It's been a good week for dealings with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services. Yesterday I mentioned that Jens and Karin Schulz have received a work visa so they can return to PIBC from Germany. This morning we got word that our friend from Hong Kong, Daisy Ho, former pastor of the Guam United Methodist Church, and currently serving a church in SoCal, has received her "green card," which will allow her to stay in the US. Her next step is to apply for citizenship.

~ Cheryl has been busy keeping on top of the bookkeeping and is looking forward to having Karin back, since they work together on a lot of projects. This morning she is off to the twice-a-month Lutheran Church of Guam "check signing party." Cheryl is a on the finance committee there.
