Easter break

Brad and coconutThe students are on break this week. Most of those living on campus will stay around, sleep-in, cook for themselves, and relax. Most of the staff will be working -- catching up on grading and administrative projects.

I have four big projects for the week -- prepare a sermon for the Good Friday Service at LCG , publish the summer class schedule, send in the annual report to the USDA/RUC for the distance education grant they gave us, and grade 22 workbooks for my Basic Bible Study Methods class. Each book takes about 30 minutes to grade (only a time oriented American would bother calculating that -- or making a 'to do" list for that matter) and represents 25% of the student's grade in the class. So far, I've read three of the workbooks and the students have actually done pretty well.

This picture is from yesterday at PIBC Days. I found a freshly fallen coconut and talked Dave and Alvin into showing me the best way to cut it open to drink the juice. There is an amazing amount of juice in one of those things -- very tasty.
