Homefront

Dining areaFor the past week or so we've been attempting to purchase a 3-bedroom, 2-bath, first floor condo in Mangilao -- 3.3 miles from campus. It has a small porch ("lanai") that I can use for container gardening and ceramic tile throughout (helpful in a tropical climate). It's actually quite large (1,350 sq ft) and would allow us to host guests (hint, hint). This evening it appears that we've agreed on a price. Yeah! The end of our camping adventure is in sight! Here are a couple of pictures.

The sale of our house in Turlock, California appears to be on track with closing scheduled for December 29th. All the paperwork is in a FedEx plane somewhere over the Pacific.

Kirk has been with us since early early Monday morning -- just hanging out, meeting people, and seeing the sights. This afternoon we went snorkeling at Ypao Beach -- beautiful fish that come out to greet swimmers who visit their coral clusters.

Kent and Betsy arrive tomorrow evening on her 19th birthday. Yeah!
