Just remembering

Occasionally I miss certain things about our life in California:

~ Mexican food

~ Key limes

~ Good oranges

~ quick access to Sees' candy

~ Covenant events and my cluster group

~ The pastors in Turlock who work so well together

~ Long trips in the car

~ My garden and fruit trees

~ In-N-Out Burger

~ Visiting Arizona and San Diego

~ Mexican food

~ Our church

~ Arid air

~ Birds -- lots of birds

~ Shopping choices

~ Polish Dogs @ Costco

~ Did I mention Mexican food?

Yes, we miss family and friends (a lot!). Sometimes I miss our dog and cat (but only briefly). I miss the routine and rhythm of being a parish pastor.

Of course, I could put together a pretty long list of things I don't miss -- but I'll refrain. And there is plenty to like about where God has us for now. No complaints. Just remembering -- good to do that occasionally.
